Every Wednesday is VFR night.

These events have proven to be very popuplar and everyone is invited to join.

As VFR flights are weather dependent, it is unwise to plan specific routes in advance. The route and aircraft type will therefor be decided on the day and any suggestions for interesting Group VFR flights are welcome.

Join us on Teamspeak from 19h00 (local) for the flight briefing and lets go fly.

VATSIM Model Repository

About

VATSIM plans to start its own model repository for AI models and aircraft liveries. Basically we intend to simplify the way our pilots install their AI models. Our goal is to distribute a standard set of aircrafts to improve your flight experience with VATSIM.

The project is driven by VATSIM, but open to everyone! Spread the word: Let your friends (modeler, painter, developer) know about the project (Flyer). We need your help, without we cannot start the project.

Most important, we would need the non-exclusive rights of all models and paintings to be included in the repository. Once we have obtained these (rights), we can store and redistribute the models / paintings on VATSIM servers and provide an automatic installer and a starter kit. No models, no repository!

How can I help?

This depends on who you are. Please identify whether you belong to one of the following groups:

  1. I' am a model designer or (re)painter and want to grant rights.
  2. I do represent a VA and want to upload and grant rights for our VA.
  3. I want to join the project, e.g. as a model administrator, or developer.
  4. Traffic for downloads will be considerable. I can provide webspace and transfer capacity on my web server(s).
  5. As a pilot I want to recommend you models / paintings.
  6. Suggest a cool name for the repository.
  7. I help and publish the flyer (link to the flyer or use it as template).
