VATSAF Teamspeak Details
We encourage and invite all members to download and install Teamspeak. This is our Clubhouse where we get together over a cup of coffee to discuss training and other aviation related matters. You will almost always find someone online on teamspeak during hobby-time which is 7 days a week, from about 7pm South African time, until late night.
AT VATSAF we use Teamspeak 3. www.teamspeak.com, Make sure you download the CLIENT and the correct one for your operating system.
Once installed open the client and go through the option menu to ensure your headset is configured as well as selecting a push to talk button. Most people use the right ctrl button. This will enable you to only have your mic open when intended and not all the time.
Now click on Connect and enter the details you recieved in your welcome email. If you did not recieve an amail, or require additional assistance, please email events@vatsaf.com. Please note that you will only be given access once your membership has been approved and validated.
Select anonymous access, but ensure you enter your full name under nickname. You can now connect and will be granted access to the server. When initially connecting you will be in the registration room, you will need to be given a password to get full access. You should see other people on the server, especially evenings. If there is no one else, then please come back later and try again. If there are people on the server, just wait in the registration room. A member will notice you there and come up and greet you. Arrangements will then be made to get you full access to the server where you can meet the other members.
